My new mission inspired dining chairs are a refined version a traditional chair. The sometimes overly heavy look of the traditional mission chair has been eliminated through graceful tapering the legs and reducing the size of some other chair parts. The back of the chair is nicely curved to greatly increase comfort and the front seat rail has a gentle curve that softens the lines of the chair.

While these chairs have a lighter look to them they are very ruggedly constructed to give generations of service. 28 precisely cut mortise and tenon joints are glued and pinned together and rugged corner blocks add extra strength at the seat frame to leg joints.

Shipping
When shipping 2 or more chairs, blanket wrapped delivery is the most economical method. For one chair UPS Oversize shipping may be less expensive.

Prices:
Single chair: $1350 + cost of leather
2 or more: $1320 each + cost of leather

The Leather used for the chair seat is a full grain Italian leather purchased by the hide or half hide and is available in 75 colors. A half hide of leather yields 3-4 seats. We occasional have remainders of hides - perhaps enough to do 1 or 2 seats. Black is the most popular color. The cost for 1/2 hide depends on the size of the hide but generally runs about $300 or about $75/seat assuming a yield of 4 seats. Please call or email for more information on leather. We will contact you after you place your order to find out what leather color you'd like and give you an estimated cost for the leather.

The table and chairs speak for themselves as works of craftsmanship. They give us an emotional lift every time we see or use them. An unexpected bonus is how comfortable the chairs are. I've sat in many Windsor chairs and I don't remember any that so notably were a good fit.
