About Our Bookcases

All of our bookcases are built from solid hardwoods using traditional, time-tested joinery. These pieces are built to last several lifetimes. All bookcases have the following construction features:

Solid hardwood construction. Available in solid cherry, maple, oak, walnut and mahogany (see wood choices). Cherry means solid cherry not a "cherry finish" on a cheaper wood. Bookcase backs are either 1/2" thick matching hardwood veneer plywood or solid hardwood frame and panel construction.

All lumber is carefully selected for the best possible grain and color match

All bookcase are built to order so customizing dimensions and layout is easily done.

Cases are constructed using dovetail and mortise & tenon joinery

Only high quality hardware and shelf support pins are used.
