This chest was originally designed to be placed at the foot of my Shaker Platform Bed for storage of bed linens, pillows and sweaters. The lip around three sides of the top allows for the use of a cushion to turn the storage chest into a bench seat. Special supports hold the lid open at any angle up to 90°.
