Low Post Four Poster Bed

If you don't want the high posts of a my traditional four poster bed or pencil post bed but still want the four poster look this bed should be just what you're after. We can make it with footposts the same height as the headposts or with short footpost as shown. As with all our beds, it can be made with a slatted platform for use with just a mattress or with sturdy angle iron boxspring supports. When you order your bed we'll ask for your mattress (or mattress and boxspring) thickness so we can adjust the height or the headboard accordingly. This bed ships by UPS in multiple packages. Assembly is very straight forward and assembly instructions are included.

Bed Height: Overall bed height will depend on the thickness of your mattress (or mattress & boxspring). We will place the bottom of the headboard 2" above the top of your mattress. The height to the top of the headboard posts will be 19.5" above the top of your mattress.

The inside dimensions of the bed frame are 1" longer and wider than the standard mattress size to allow for bedding.

Low post beds are available in these standard woods:

• Cherry
• Maple
• Walnut

The base prices for low post beds are for either cherry or maple and include a slatted hardwood platform for your mattress. They are also available in walnut at an additional cost. No box spring is required. If you would prefer to use a box spring we can supply angle iron supports rather than slats. King size beds also include a center support beam and post.
The following optional items are also available:

All beds are built to order so that the headboard can be placed at the correct height in relation to the top of your mattress. When we receive your order we will contact you to get the thickness of your mattress or mattress and box spring. If you will be purchasing a new mattress but haven't picked it out yet please don't let that keep you from ordering your bed now. We typically have an 12-16 week backlog so you'll have at least a few weeks to get your mattress dimensions to us. Placing your order right away will get your bed in our production schedule while you pick out a mattress. All types of mattresses can be used on our beds.
