{"id":23,"date":"2012-02-03T03:12:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-03T03:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bissellwoodworking.com\/blog2\/pencil-post-night-table\/"},"modified":"2013-04-22T21:49:41","modified_gmt":"2013-04-22T21:49:41","slug":"pencil-post-night-table","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bissellwoodworking.com\/blog2\/pencil-post-night-table\/","title":{"rendered":"Pencil post night table"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I design this cherry pencil post night table at the request of a customer who wanted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bissellwoodworking.com\/tables\/occasional-tables.htm\">cherry night tables<\/a> with legs like the posts of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bissellwoodworking.com\/beds\/ppbed.htm\">cherry pencil post bed<\/a> she purchased from me. \u00a0The table would have been simple enough were it not for the fact that she also wanted a shelf under it. \u00a0The shelf is attached to stretchers that are mortised into the octagonally tapered legs. \u00a0The tapered legs required that the tenons be slightly angled.
