Richard Bissell Fine Woodworking There are five possible shipping methods available. If you have any questions about shipping please don't hesitate to call or email.
Customer Pick Up:
If you would like to you can pick up your order at our shop in Putney, Vermont. Orders picked up at the shop as well as orders shipped or delivered to Vermont addresses are subject to Vermont 6% sales tax.
Delivery in our van:
If you live within a two to three hour drive of Putney, VT your furniture can be delivered by us. For larger orders this is usually the most economical shipping method. The cost for this depends on where you live. Please call or email for a delivery quote. If you pick this shipping option with a shopping cart order no shipping costs will show up on your cart.
Blanket wrapped delivery service:
This is an excellent option for larger individual pieces or large multi-piece orders. With this option your furniture is blanket wrapped in my shop and delivered to your home by professional movers. There are two companies I work with who both take extremely good care of your furniture, place it exactly where you want it in your home and will even do simple assembly of some furniture items if necessary (and at additional cost). Please call or email for a delivery quote. If you pick this shipping option (delivery) with a shopping cart order no shipping costs will show up on your cart.
UPS:
Some of my furniture is small enough (or disassembles) to fit into UPS size and weight restrictions. These items with their shipping costs are noted on their catalog pages and will show up in your shopping cart when you place your order if you choose UPS as the shipping method.
Common Carrier:
Occasionally none of the above shipping options are possible (ie shipping to Hawaii) so your furniture is crated and shipped by common carrier. We personally build the shipping crates and receive substantial discounts on the trucking costs. The disadvantages of this method are that you only get "curb side" delivery, the crates are very heavy on large pieces and you will need to handle uncrating and disposal of the crating materials. We would be happy to estimate your crating and shipping cost prior to your placing an order. If you pick this shipping option with a shopping cart order no shipping costs will show up on your cart.
