Mission Side Chair

My new mission inspired dining chairs are a refined version a traditional chair. The sometimes overly heavy look of the traditional mission chair has been eliminated through graceful tapering the legs and reducing the size of some other chair parts. The back of the chair is nicely curved to greatly increase comfort and the front seat rail has a gentle curve that softens the lines of the chair.

While these chairs have a lighter look to them they are very ruggedly constructed to give generations of service. 28 precisely cut mortise and tenon joints are glued and pinned together and rugged corner blocks add extra strength at the seat frame to leg joints.

Individual chairs can be crated and shipped by UPS but it is generally preferable and less expensive to ship orders for multiple chairs by blanket wrapped delivery.
