Our modular hardwood lateral file cabinets can be built with as many drawers as you'd like. Each dovetailed drawer holds two rows of letter size files running front to back or 1 set of legal files running side to side. Drawers are equipped with heavy duty, ball bearing, over-travel, drawer slides and file hanging hardware. Large banks of file drawers are build as individual cases of 2, 3 or 4 drawers that bolt together and have a unifying top over the whole assembly. For example, the file cabinet shown here is made of three 2 drawer file cases capped by a single top. Different height cases can be combined with several tops to create a stepped look. Assembly is a simple matter of bolting the cases together and attaching the top with screws.

Cases and drawer fronts are made from solid cherry, maple or oak. Drawer interior parts are solid ash. Case backs are 3/4" thick shiplapped pine.
